Description

Aaron Anderson: Tufa Cast Continuous Square Maze Cuff

Be sure to add this striking sterling silver cuff by award-winning Navajo artist Aaron Anderson to your jewelry collection before it's gone. Renowned for his traditional Diné jewelry, Anderson utilizes the traditional tufa stone casting technique to create this silver cuff with a continuous maze pattern from one end to the other.

The Art of the Tufa Cast
What makes this cuff truly one of a kind is its origin. Unlike mass-produced Native American jewelry, this silver cuff began as a hand-carved block of tufa, a porous volcanic stone. Because the intense heat of molten silver often cracks the fragile tufa stone, the mold is typically destroyed after a single pour, making designs carved into the stone good for only one jewelry piece being produced.

    WHY ELLIS TANNER TRADING COMPANY?

While Other Shops Focus On The "Sale," Ellis Focuses On The People

Ellis believes his business only succeeds when the Navajo and Native American community thrive.

Since 1967, Ellis - the “Little In-law” - has built more than a trading post; he’s built a business that honors the Navajo people and their way of life. Whether you’re admiring the Circle of Light Murals honoring Navajo leaders or browsing the largest library of Navajo authors, you’ll feel the difference: This isn't just a store. It is a pillar of the Four Sacred Mountains where every transaction is rooted in a lifetime of mutual respect.
